Rotary Adopt A Tree is a simple concept. The program offers people in the community the opportunity to adopt a adopt a tree for $5 per tree tree through the Rotary website www.rotaryadoptatree.org.au
It was launched in D9675 on Australia Day 2022 and was launched at the D9705 Conference in Temora in March 2022. We have invited all clubs in our District to promote the Rotary Adopt A Tree program and a PowerPoint template for promoting the program can be downloaded from the bottom panel on the right of this page - together with artwork for a promotional banner and a flyer. The banner includes a QR code to access the website for information and to make donations.

The D9705 Fiji School Solar fundraising project was launched early 2022 by the District Envoy Team to raise funds to install  solar  capability on schools in Fiji.

We have succeeded in raising a total of $55,000 from 27 Rotary clubs (and Crookwell Rotarian Ken Leach) which will be used to install a new solar panel and battery system in the Naiviivi School and replacement batteries at an established system at the Lavena School. These systems will benefit the environment and help the education of children by saving costs on diesel generation to use instead for school books and laptops. They also provide 24/7 power. Installation was completed as planned in March  2023 with the installation support of the It's Time Foundation and its local Fiji contractors.
The replacement batteries for the Lavena Primary School should be installed in May 2023. The battery cost for Lithium-Ion batteries is $10,000 and seven Rotary Clubs funded this initiative.
