Hat Day is Only 1 Week Away! 
 
1 in 5 people suffer a mental illness every year, and half of all the mental health conditions we experience at some point in our lives will have started by age 14.

We all know someone who has experienced poor mental health at some point during their lives. Let's do this for them!
Australia Rotary Health holds its annual fundraiser - Hat Day on 10 October.

International Women's Day - Update
District 9705 International Women’s Day initiative – Calling Regional Women for Support 
 
A very enthusiastic small group of Rotarians from the District are currently planning to hold an International Women’s Day Breakfast for District 9705 on the 8th March 2022. 
 
The committee is calling for regional representation to form a subcommittee so that we ensure that all clubs and their communities are involved. Read more for details on who to contact to be involved.

Helping Hands - Go Fund Me
Garry Malhotra- Ken Behren’s Helping Hands 
 
The Garry Malhotra- Ken Behren’s Helping Hands have been feeding the Canberra community and surrounds since the 2021 lockdown commenced by providing meals and grocery hampers. Area 2 - Rotary Club of Griffith Avanti
Our Story
 
The Rotary Club of Griffith Avanti was chartered in May 2006 so it is a relatively new club with around 28 members all of whom are willing and enthusiastic to work together to make a difference in the community.  They are one of four clubs in the city. ROMAC Update from the Chairman
Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children - ROMAC is a project of Rotary Clubs in Australia and New Zealand. 
 
ROMAC is an approved Rotary International Project and provides medical treatment for children from developing countries in the Oceania region in the form of lifesaving and dignity restoring surgery not accessible to them in their home country. Please read more for the Chairman's September Update.

Orders for the Mango Fundraiser are closing early due to a smaller than expected mango crop this year. No more orders will be accepted.
