Now is the time to make your decision regarding attending the Rotary International Convention. This will be the easiest, cheapest Rotary International Convention you will have the opportunity to attend. Travel wise it is only a few hours away and I guarantee you will enjoy every moment.

The convention is well organised with excellent quality speakers, Dr. Bruce Aylward (pictured left) Assistant Director-General for Polio, Emergencies, and Country Collaboration at the World Health Organization will speak on Tuesday 3 June Plenary session 3.

During five plenary sessions you’ll be inspired by Rotary International’s president and other leaders as they share stories about Rotarians worldwide who exemplify Service Above Self. Rotary Foundation leaders will present the latest news about polio eradication and updates on Foundation grants and the wonderful work Rotary does to make the world a better place. Gemma Sisia, School of St Jude will be one of speakers in the breakout sessions. For more information go to the riconvention.org website. You can register for the convention on this site.

District 9700

DG Geoff Tancred has made arrangements for accommodation in central Sydney for Rotarians of 9700. There are still some rooms available; however, you will need to book soon as the offer closes in March.
I have a few places left on the Harbour Cruise on Saturday 31st May, $100 per head all inclusive.

Please contact me on  robwag2@bigpond.com  for booking information re accommodation and cruise.

I cannot recommend enough the value of attending this Rotary International Convention in Sydney. It is so hard to explain the experience of meeting Rotarians from all over the world and seeing the work Rotary has achieved.
