A group of Rotarians and community members from Wagga Wagga are making a difference to people's lives in Cambodia. In Phnom Penh members of the group are sponsoring students to enable them to get an education, in Siem Reap the group are helping to construct a house for a struggling family. The group have recently returned from Cambodia.
Rotary clubs and community members from Wagga Wagga have been working together on a project in Cambodia. During the two week trip to Cambodia the Rotarians and community members worked with an Australian charity, Heartprint to fund and construct a house for a family in an urban area in Siem Reap. During the second week of the trip the group visited a DCC school in Phnom Penh that Wagga Clubs have supported and Wagga community members have been sponsoring some of the students for a number of years.community members.
 
District Governor Elect, Robert Shore and his wife Judy participated in the trip last year and said "this was a life changing experience for those that went, and the communities in Cambodia. You can really see the impact that Rotary is making to people's lives. I am in awe of the great work the Rotary Clubs and community members from Wagga are doing and I recommend other Rotarians join future trips".
