Rob has been an active Rotarian since joining the Rotary Club of Mayfield in 1997. She has vast experience at the Club, District and International levels within Rotary. She has attended Rotary International conferences and her work with Rotary Youth Exchange has enabled her to make international connections that benefit fellow Rotarians including hosting the RI President in our club meeting in 2020.

Members of District 9705 are fortunate to have such an outstanding and experienced Rotarian as the 2024-25 District Governor.

Recognition of Outstanding Work
Congratulations to Rosemary Everett
District Treasurer Rosemary Everett PHF has been acknowledged for her outstanding work for the Rotary Foundation through the Rotary Cadre of Technical Advisors as an International  Auditor.
Veronica Dominguez is a Stewardship Specialist for the Rotary Foundation and wrote of Rosemary, "the Foundation relies on cadre members like you to confirm that the Foundation’s funds are spent wisely and that grant projects benefit communities in need".
She elaborated, saying "your evaluation has been reviewed by the Stewardship team, who noted you provided a detailed report that will help sponsors with their project.  Your report has been very informative and helps the Foundation understand what is taking place on the ground at the project site".
District 9705 is very proud of the International contribution that has been made by Rosemary. The work is in addition to her constant commitment as Treasurer for our District.
Rotary in Action
Through the generous support of D9705 clubs and members, Monica Kiconco, one of 50 Ugandan school girls and teen mothers has been able to continue her education through Peace Fellow, Emily Nabakooza’s intervention and the Assisi Centre for Social Justice and Peace she founded three years ago.
Monica has returned to learning a year after giving birth aged 15. She wants to go to university. Without her secondary school education that would be impossible. The story below is female empowerment at work !
Global Grant Scholarship Subcommittee
Are you thinking about how you can expand your Rotary experience?
Most years District9705 sponsors a Global Grant scholar to undertake post graduate study overseas in fields related to Rotary’s areas of focus. A District scholarship subcommittee oversees this process. We are looking for three Rotarians to become involved initially as observers but with a view to taking on substantive roles in 2023.
