The D9705 Environmental Envoy Team was formed in mid-2021, and it now has 13 Rotary members. They are all experienced in Rotary and include 8 Past Presidents, 2 current Presidents and 2 Presidents Elect. They are  passionate about protecting the environment and their role is to help clubs embrace the new Environmental area of focus and to assist clubs to initiate and implement new environmental projects. The Envoy team will partner with the 72 club E-Reps nominated by Club Presidents to date.
Call David Brawn if you want to contact an Envoy or a particular Club E-Rep.
Rotary Adopt A Tree is a simple concept. The program offers people in the community the opportunity to adopt a adopt a tree for $5 per tree tree through the Rotary website
It was launched in D9675 on Australia Day 2022 and was launched at the D9705 Conference in Temora in March 2022. We have invited all clubs in our District to promote the Rotary Adopt A Tree program and a PowerPoint template for promoting the program can be downloaded from the bottom panel on the right of this page - together with artwork for a promotional banner and a flyer. The banner includes a QR code to access the website for information and to make donations.
The District 9705  EnviroClub Awards program was announced at the Temora District Conference and it is active from 2022/23 onwards.  It will complement the efforts of both the Envoys and the Club E-Reps as the environmental activity develops throughout the District during the year. The program documentation includes Awards information , a project ideas list and an application form. These can be downloaded from the download panel on the right hand side. The artwork for an EnviroClub pull up banner can also be downloaded   .
The District Envoy program established a new private Facebook group called “D9705 Environmental Community” in November 2021 to enable members and like-minded members of the community to communicate and exchange information about environmental matters including projects, events, and webinars. It is a great place to meet.
There are now 123 members in the Group, including the District leadership team.
