Assistant Governors Takeover Young

Assistant Governors for 2013-14 participated in learning and development in Young on Saturday-Sunday 9-10 February 2013, led by Learnign and Development Coordinator, Mary Brell. Each of the 6 Groups of Clubs in D9700 were represented.The Assistant Governors for DGE Geoff Tancred's year are keen to work with their Presidents-elect to ensure that the year is both well planned and that Clubs are provided with support and resources to achieve their goals.
The training was a first full focused learning opportunity for AGs, and DGE Geoff said the weekend is support by the District and RI to encourage strong support for the AG in the district. District L&D coordinator, Mary Brell had prepared a full program that provided the opportunities to understand the different learning styles the people have, understanding the expectations of the district and the clubs they serve, various skills development and their role in assisting Presidents elect in the upcoming Presidents Elect Training Seminar on 23-24 February 2013.
AGs attending included Group 1's Dave Carter, Group 4's Tony Sinclair, Group 5's Alan Sharp, and Group 6's David Kennedy; unfortunately Group 2's Russ Martin and Group 3's Bob Campbell were unable to attend. A number of AG partners were able to attend and will be involved in various aspects of the L & G.
