MAYOR OF LEETON RECIEVES PROMINENT ROTARY AWARD

Leeton Rotary Club while celebrating their 75^th anniversary presented Leeton Mayor, Paul Maytom with the

Rotary Award for Excellence in Service to Humanity

The Rotary Award for Excellence in Service to Humanity recognises non-Rotarians who have demonstrated exemplary humanitarian service consistent with Rotary’s ideals and who might otherwise go unrecognised.

Paul has worked extensively with the refugees arriving in Leeton to start new lives. His thoughtlessness and consideration to these refugees has resulted in them finding homes and employment. His encouragement of this scheme has benefited the Leeton community and a multi-cultural environment.

Paul also was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship from Leeton Central Rotary Club.
