RYDA again focuses on young driver education

The spring series of RYDA was held recently in Orange and Wagga.
Around 1000 Year 11 students attended from the local and surrounding High Schools and were hosted by the combined Orange Rotary Clubs and the Clubs in Henty and Wagga. The Orange RYDA Theme this year is “Be alive at 25”. The focus was on practical tips and exercises that brought home the practical reality of driving a motor vehicle.
Some of the bumper sticker slogans that the students developed fitted the scene perfectly. “Use your head – Plan ahead” and “Be a hero – Stay on zero” were good examples. RYDA will be conducted at a number of locations throughout the District early next year.
