Changing lives: A look at the year ahead
A message from President Shekhar Mehta Rotary International President, 2021-22

Welcome to the new Rotary year — a year when you will be called upon to Serve to Change Lives and achieve big dreams. Because of your passion for achieving great things, we will grow more and do more.

Our Action Plan, Rotary’s strategic road map, sets our course and strengthens us for the future by focusing on four priorities: increasing our impact, expanding our reach, enhancing participant engagement, and increasing our ability to adapt. This year, I am honored to move these priorities forward by leading with vision and implementing several initiatives that I believe will result in positive growth during 2021-22 and beyond.
  • Expanding our reach through Each One, Bring One
  • Serve to change lives
  • Increasing our impact

Climate and Peace Webinar
Next Climate & Peace Webinar 10th August 6pm (AEST)

Presented by the Rotary Clubs of Sydney:  Record heat waves, fires and floods in the Northern Hemisphere this summer have turned the spotlight from COVID back to climate. So how can we retain peace and security as the weather worsens and the sea levels threaten mass migration?

The speakers include Cheryl Durrant, former head of Australia’s Defence Force planning, Prof Lachlan Blackhall, an expert on dispatchable energy and Anika Molesworth, a young firebrand primary producer. So, another terrific line-up, to help us understand what we can do about this crisis. Register via www.climateandpeace.com.au

As Lebanon’s crisis deepens, lines for fuel grow, and food and medicine are scarce we are desperately calling on media outlets to help us spread the word and provide coverage to our campaign launch. We are calling on community members and business owners to donate to our Go Fund Me. We are calling on dignitaries to support us by sharing our Baby Formula fundraiser to spread the word.

This campaign is supported by the Rotary Club of Canberra.
